I've put myself down to mentor 3-6 projects for the ASF in google's
Summer Of Code project..
It's an exciting time for the applicants I'm sure.. as they find out next week if they get to do opensource for the summer, or need to get a 'real' job for the 3 months..
actually I'm guessing they will need to get a real job as well, as the first payment will only come half way through the project, so I guess they are going to get the real expeirence of working on open-source projects in their spare time like most of the other OSS folk do ;-)
