renkoo just spammed me with 3 emails about their service.
so naturally I went and looked. I heard of renkoo a while back, but can’t remember what it was all about.
We’re sorry, but you seem to be using a browser we don’t support yet. Supported browsers: Firefox 1+ and Internet Explorer 6+. Safari and Opera are not currently supported due to their buggy implementations of progressive rendering. Please whine to the Safari and Opera teams, not to us.
screw that.. I’m not whining to anyone. I’m just not bothering to use your site.
you need my eyeballs.. I don’t need your site.. don’t entrepreneurs get that yet? thats the economics of abundance at work.
If you don’t care to support the browser I’m using I’m not going to even bother. shit the go away message doesn’t even tell me what renkoo is about, or give me an idea on what I’m missing.
oh.. and stick a never-mail-me-again link in your spam email.
I agree with you, I left the same comment on their blog when they posted a post about Safari not working and gave their users three options, none of which was that Renkoo would step up to the plate and actually fix their site. The problem was apparently ‘the user’s problem’ or ‘apple’s problem’, but not ‘renkoo’s problem’.
Now the disclaimer is I run a competitor of renkoo’s called Planypus (http://planyp.us). We help friends make plans without the hassle of back n forth phone calls and emails. However we don’t discriminate against users with obscure browsers. Hell we’re mostly safari and opera users ourselves :-). We do recommend that IE users get Firefox just cause it looks and works better, but we support all browsers.
Now i’m going to sound like a real asshole here, but the kicker is their CEO obviously read this blog because he bookmarked it on delicious, and he didn’t even bother to respond with a kind word or two. Shame on you renkoo!
